REFUSING TO WEAR MASKS AND PLAY GAMES
Posted on August 4, 2013REFUSING TO WEAR MASKS AND PLAY GAMES
by Gary Chester Morse (1945-2010)
We refuse to wear masks and play games. This is what the apostle Paul mandates in 2 Corinthians 4:2b (Message Bible).
This is quite a mandate since the unconscious mantra for a man is to conceal what's really going on in his inside.
Isn't it interesting that what is most important to us guys, we talk about the least? That's the reason acquaintances we know sometimes go off the deep end and do bizarre things seemingly without any notice. But connecting with another guy or two on an honest and close-to-the bone level produces powerful results (James 5:16).
It takes risks and much time to cultivate such soul-knitting, spirit-expanding bonds, but there's hardly anything else that emboldens a man more to be what God wants him to be - a man who wins where it counts.
