Are You Sheltered in the Arms of God?
Posted on March 3, 2012 · View CommentsMy wife Barbie thought I was crazy for taking a nap during the time when our house was shaking from the strong winds, part of the severe storms in Western Kentucky this week. She and her Dad Jim went to the basement. I said, "I am taking a nap in my own bed." I felt sheltered in the arms of God and had no fear of dying.
The words of the late Dottie Rambo say it well:
"So let the storm clouds rage high,
The dark clouds rise.
They don't bother me.
For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.
He walks with me,
And naught of earth shall harm me,
For I'm sheltered in the arms of God."
Amen
I’m singing these verses Saturday night at the Kentucky Opry and on Sunday in Cowboy Church. Sometimes words are extra powerful in song. Our region can certainly relate to the need to feel "sheltered in the arms of God".
